Forums Overview

Join a geographical or special interest forum that meets your specific needs

Special Interest Forums  Description
Special Interest Forums provide opportunities for members to attend formal presentations on common areas of interest from industry experts and members with specialized knowledge and experience.  Those who attend are encouraged to interact with the speaker and to participate in audience discussions. Although the focus of forums may be a special interest area such as technology or construction, all members and prospective members are invited to attend. The forums are a great place to gain knowledge, meet and interact with members, and learn more about the project management profession and the Sacramento Valley Chapter.

Geographic Area Forums  Description

Geographic Area Forums are informal gatherings located conveniently to member's homes and offices in locations around the Sacramento metropolitan area.  There is no charge for meetings and each person pays for their own expenses.  These meetings, in a roundtable format, have proven successful in PMI chapters. They provide a convenient, informal setting where you can meet others with similar interests and participate in conversations and discussions related to project management.  The meetings are coordinated by members who often facilitate and lead the discussion.  The informal nature of the meetings open up opportunities for everyone to share in the discussion.

Attendance at each meeting qualifies you for one (1) Professional Development Unit (PDU)
