Carmelo Lattuca, PMP

Carmelo Lattuca has been a member of PMI since 1993 and a PMP since 1994. He was a member of the Ottawa Valley Chapter in Canada, Mass Bay Chapter in Massachusetts and now Sacramento Valley Chapter.

Carmelo has over  twenty years of International Project Management Experience (Asia Pacific Region,  Europe, & North America regions) and over 30 years experience in the IT Industry (DEC, Compaq, and now HP). Education background: certificate degree in Electronic Technology,  BSc in Information Management Systems, and MBA in International Marketing and Strategy.

Carmelo speaks 4 languages fluently and is the father of two wonderful kids.

Vice President of Strategy & Policy
Mark Dochtermann, PMP

Mark "Doc" Dochtermann, PMP, CISSP, MCTS, MSP Black Belt, is a Project Management Specialist with Microsoft. He is a certified Project Manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI), a certified Information Security Specialist with the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and holds a Microsoft Project Black Belt Masters level certification.
 
He has over 25 years of experience managing projects for large organizations including Amoco, Oracle, Kellogg's, the State of California Department of Child Support Services, MCI, and the 1988 Winter Olympics Organizing Committee.
 
Mr. Dochtermann was the founding President of the MPA-SVC Chapter, is currently the Vice President of Strategy and Policy for the PMI-SVC Chapter in Sacramento, California, and is the Vice President of Publicity and Relations for the PMI College of Scheduling - PMICOS.

Vice President of Professional Development (PD)
Bruce Smith, PMP

Bruce Smith, (PhD, PMP), is the Director of Operations for AgreeYa Solutions, Inc., and is responsible for the consulting operations of the firm.  He is a certified Project Manager with PMI and has managed consulting projects, predominately in the public sector for over 20 years with AgreeYa, Bartig, Basler & Ray and Deloitte Consulting.  He has also served in the public sector as Budget Director and City Manager of Wilmington, DE, Budget Director of Aurora, CO, and the elected Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Franklin Township, PA. Mr. Smith is also an Adjunct Professor with the University of San Francisco.

Secretary
Bob Morthole, PMP

Bob Morthole is a certified PMP and has been a member of PMI-SVC for the past six years. Bob has extensive and well-rounded experience in California state government IT.

He is currently working as a project manager on a financial assets tracking system for the State Controller’s Office.  Prior to moving to SCO, Bob worked at the Department of Health Services for five and a half years. While there, he worked as a project manager for the system design, development, and implementation of the Children’s Medical Services Net system. This was an automated case management system for the California Children’s Services program and the Genetically Handicapped Person’s program.  Prior to that he was an IT applications technical lead and database administrator for thirteen years on a licensing system and an enforcement system for the Dept. of Consumer Affairs. 

Bob has served the Chapter over the past few years as VP of Operations, Education Director, VP of Programs , and co-leader of the Registration Table Committee.  He attended CSU Sacramento and graduated with a BA in Economics.

Senthil Muniappan

Senthil K Muniappan (PMP, CSCP), is a Program/Project Manager with 16 years of experience in Information Technology. He managed multiple enterprise projects and programs and worked with Automotive, Government, Healthcare, Oil&Gas, Utility and High Tech Industry customers. He is a certified Project Manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI), a certified Supply Chain Management Professional with the APICS and held Board position in the past with IEEE. He is currently working with a Top 5 consulting firm. He had graduated with a Master of Engineering degree in Applied Electronics.


Vice President of Relations & Marketing
Laura Lorenzo

Laura Lorenzo is a results-driven Project Management Professional with over 25 years of well-rounded relationship management experience. She is an accomplished leader with expertise in project management, organizational management, team building, staff motivation and conflict resolution.

She is a big-picture thinker with a proven ability to combine strategic thinking, problem resolution and seasoned judgment with a visionary spirit. Laura previously served in the roles of Director of Education, Events Management, and Seminars. Since joining PMI in 2005, she has demonstrated her capability to effectively convey her visionary spirit to gain the board and membership buy-in necessary for a winning tactical delivery.

Laura lives in the Placerville hills and is the proud mother of five children.


Chief Financial Officer
Jan Cloete

Jan (Hennie) H. Cloete is president of ASSETS, a full service information technology company.
Born on June 19, 1959, Hennie grew up in South Africa where he attended elementary school at the private Broadlands College and high school at the Afrikaans Hoer Seunskool, a highly respected high school in southern Africa.  At high school, Hennie was chairman of the science club for 2 years and was one of the few chosen to have computer studies as an additional subject at the Pretoria Educational College.

After high school (1977), Hennie was drafted into the navy where he became a midshipman and at the Naval College he was presented with the trophy for Best Seamanship.  As an operational operation rooms officer he continued using his computer skills to develop message encryption routines and search and rescue programs.

Upon completion of his compulsory Navy training he was asked to join Infoplan who is the preferred vendor for the South African Defense Force.  Here Hennie excelled and was asked to join a new company, Data Trust that was formed from the ex managers of IBM and Infoplan. Hennie was the 5th employee and the company grew to exceed 2000 employees.

Hennie has worked on multi million dollar projects and has in excess of 30 years of Information Technology experience.

Hennie’s two major passions are computers and the sea. Last year, he single handed his sailing yacht to most of the islands in the Caribbean, down to Venezuela and on January 2, 2007, he passed through the Panama Canal on his way back to California.

He is also a director of the River City Beemers, a BMW motorcycle club.
